Hope you are all having a happy Sunday. To make your Sunday even better and to give you ideas on what next to shop this weekend, I have this stunning highlighting blush from NOTE Cosmetics up for review today.
‘Cuz ’tis is the season for some serious glow and I am hoarding on highlighting/illuminating products like there’s no tomorrow. My motto being, “When you don’t naturally have it, just FAKE it! “;) Plus, if a highlighting powder is as gorgeous as the one I’m talking about today, I am so sure that no one can say no.
Now, ideally, the NOTE Cosmetics Terracotta Blusher is available in 4 stunning shades, however, I saw only 2 at the NewU store that I visited. If any of you have seen more shades on this one, please let me know in the comments below.
NOTE Cosmetics Terracotta Blusher 01 Pleasure comes in a bulky compact casing with a dome shaped product inside. There is no brush (thankfully!) but only a good quality mirror inside. My only complain with the packaging is that it could have been more sleek.
The shade 01 Pleasure is a beautiful and shiny champagne gold kind of shade that I can see working across a range of Indian skin tones. It is the kid of shade that can totally suffice for all of your highlighting needs.
The texture of the NOTE Cosmetics Terracotta Blusher 01 Pleasure is quite smooth. The powder is finely milled, and densely packed yet buttery to touch. A finger swatch picks up a lot of product, however don’t be fooled by that. Using a brush gives you a lot more control on the product. The use of right tools during makeup application can make all the difference. On days I like to wear a soft glow, I use the product dry, but for a more dramatic glow, it can also be applied with a damp brush.
The thing with this NOTE Cosmetics Terracotta Blusher is that there is a comparatively firmer layer of product on the top but as you use it, and inner layers are revealed, you realise that the blush is so soft that you need some serious control on your application technique. The powder is quite blendable, never crumbly and gives you the most magnificent winter glow possible. There is no sparkle in this, just plain sheen, that can be played up or played down according to your liking.
Staying ability depends upon your base makeup. The NOTE Cosmetics Terracotta Blusher 01 Pleasure stays as long as your base makeup stays, though after about 5-6 hours it will start losing intensity, if you know what I mean.
Overall, I think the NOTE Cosmetics Terracotta Blusher 01 Pleasure is gorgeous champagne gold color that not only suffices all of your highlighting needs but also gives you an intense buttery texture, devoid of any sparkle, to play with. I also think it comes at a justifiable price tag since you get a lot of product in the pack. The only drawback may be its availability but online shopping sites make life so much easier for you.
