As much as we all loved the cloudy days and the incessant rains, the monsoon season also comes with its own woes. To me, monsoons specifically spell disaster for my hair, which not only becomes limp but also incredibly weak at the roots. Incessant hair fall during this period leaves my hair looking really thin and there is also a lot of breakage that makes hair look dull and lifeless. To combat these issues, I decided to give the ORGANIC HARVEST Hair Oil for Hair Strengthening a go and here are my views on this product.
Now, you can enjoy a spa like serenity at home! A sumptuous blend of organic Juniper berry, Eucalyptus and Clary sage, with a traditional use of aromatherapy, boosts blood circulation and relieves the nerve endings, leaving an everlasting calming effect whilst stabilizing thin and damaged hair.
A unique combination of essential oils including Juniper berry, Eucalyptus, clary sage and lemon. No artificial color.
Apply directly or dilute the hair oil with Base oil followed by gentle massage using the tip of the fingers, into the scalp. For best results, use it with Organic Harvest Daily shampoo and conditioner for Normal hair. Do not heat the oil.
To begin with, I have to say that the bottle is really tiny with only 60 ml of the product inside and compared to the price that we pay for it, I definitely expected more product. However, since its an all natural oils concentrate, the heavy price tag could be justified. Next, I do like the fact that there’s a pump dispenser, however, the dispenser is not quite smooth but a little jerky and hence, every time I tried to pump out some oil, I ended up splashing a lot of it on either my clothes or my face. So now my strategy is to gently cover the nozzle with my palm and press the pump so that I can save my face (quite literally!).
Coming on to the good part about this hair oil. It is definitely very fragrant. The soothing scent come from all natural ingredients as mentioned on the bottle. The gentle herbal-citrus kind of scent that makes the hair oil feel all the more luxurious. It could be the essential oil from the Juniper Berries though. And that’s definitely a good thing there, since I want to be able to justify that heave price tag. Also, the oil is quite light and thus easy to spread on the scalp. The usage instructions say that we can also mix the oil with another base and I feel for my medium length hair, that’s a good way to use it otherwise I will end up finishing the oil after 5-6 uses only.
I am almost over with the oil now, and all I can say is I have loved using every bit of this particular hair oil by Organic Harvest. It is definitely very soothing and has a calming effect on the senses. We can blame it on the Eucalyptus Oil which is a key ingredient and has been known for its soothing properties. Also, Clary Sage, another Key Ingredient is known for its soothing and anti-depressant and hormone regulating properties. After every wash, hair feels soft and nourished and that deep nourishment is reflected in the way hair shines after each wash. I haven’t used it with a shampoo from the same brand, and instead used my regular shampoo. I am sure if I used a shampoo from Organic Harvest, the results would have been better. Maybe next time!!
Overall, the Organic Harvest HAIR OIL for HAIR STRENGTHENING is a nice hair oil to add to your hair care routine. It surely does all that it claims and then some more. What really differentiates this hair oil from others on the shelf, are its calming properties owing to Eucalyptus and Clary Sage and the gentle fragrance can be attributed to Juniper Berries. Also, it is quite versatile in its usage owing to the fact that it can be used in conjunction with any other base oil depending upon your hair care needs and preferences. I have tried mixing it with Coconut Oil and it has worked well. You may also mix it with Castor Oil, Olive Oil or any other oil of your choice and it will be fine. Its quite relaxing in whatever way you wish to use it.
