Chambor Extreme Wear Transferproof Liquid Lipstick 406
Well, so the Indian Drugstore makeup market finally has an answer to the liquid lipstick craze that had taken the beauty world by storm and still continues to do it with new variations of it being launched everyday. I had initially postponed buying these for the reason that I was a little uncertain about a drugstore brand doing liquid lipsticks, however, I finally gave in when rave reviews started pouring in from far and wide. Today, it’s my chance to pen down my thoughts about the Chambor Extreme Wear Transferproof Liquid Lipstick that I got in the shade 406.
Price : Rs 845/ 6 ml, available at Amazon.in
The Chambor Extreme Wear Transferproof Liquid Lipstick comes in a flattened transparent tube with a slightly curved wand. The tube is housed in a navy colored box like all Chambor produts. There is a signature vanilla scent to it, atypical to all Chambor Lip glosses that I ever had. I wish the product really had a name to it instead of just a number so it would’ve been easy to remember. The flattened tube makes it more easy to carry in a purse I must say, so much better than round tubes. I really like the slightly curved applicator wand since it pulls out enough product and makes application easy in the first go. It’s like a mini pool of product in the centre of the wand that you can easily spread on the lips.
The shade 406 is a deepened maroon, with strong hints of underlying reds. It has cool undertones that beautifully lift up the sallow yellowness of my skin and contrasts well against it. This shade was love at first sight for me. Not because I’m in a so “dark-lip” phase, but because I love the undertones of the color so much more than the actual shade itself.
The color is quite different on the hand and lip swatch and that is because of it’s undertones I think. On my hand/arm it looks more of a deep plum than maroon, but on the lips it is a beautiful cool maroon that screams attention.
Talking about the texture, oh-my-god, this is just so smooth and so creamy, you wouldn’t for a minute think that this is very soon going to transpire into a matte finish on the lips. The finish is velvety smooth matte that looks dry but surely doesn’t feel so. The color applied beautifully and stayed rich and intense for almost 7-8 hours, post which I removed it. I definitely think it can go up to 10 hours and maybe more, since there was minimal fading even after a light meal and some snacks. There was no feathering, no bleeding and no cracking, which I am so relieved to know. I have had really terrible experiences with matte liquid lipsticks cracking up on the surface just after 2 coats and thankfully this wasn’t the case with Chambor Extreme Wear one. Also, there is no stretchy feeling on the lips and it is surely one of the most comfortable liquid lipsticks to wear in my vanity.
I am so stoked with my purchase of the Chambor Extreme Wear Transferproof Liquid Lipstick in shade 406. Not only is this a great color to wear, it is also one of the most comfortable liquid matte lipsticks that I can think of. Being easily available in India adds a feather to the cap as well. My only concern about the range is its lack of vibrant fuchsias and purples, but then the presence of some nice neutrals quite makes up for it. The price vs quality ratio is quite justified in my opinion and perhaps so good that it can give some high end brands a run for their moolah. Pigmentation, wear time and availability are spot on that definitely makes these lipsticks a must have for everyone!
