As you may have guessed by now, my fascination with Nail Polishes has no end. On my trip to Bangalore, I picked up this Nail Color from my sister’s vanity to try and would like to present my thoughts on one of the loveliest green polishes that you will ever see.
Contained in a huge 11.7 ml bottles, the Revlon Colorstay Range of Nail Polishes come in a selected range of shades where it’s easy to spot a few that you may like. However, at Rs 350 a bottle, I wouldn’t quite call them inexpensive. That it has a lot of product inside is another part of it!
Anyway, I only have good things to say about this nail color, an it begins with the shade. Rainforest is a darkened bottle green, almost leaning towards black in certain lights, with finely milled shimmer that seem to be oscillating between green and gold (I can’t quite decide!). It is an incredible shade, unlike any that I own or have seen. The color has incredible depth to it, and is not your ordinary flat shimmery green. Its quite elite in my opinion and a great evening wear color for those cocktail parties or formal dinners!
I am also quite impressed with the staying power of the nail color. On my hands it easily lasts for 3-5 days, and that depends a lot on how much you expose your hands to water and soaps. As far as my experience with nail polishes goes, the nail polish can last for upto 7 days without any signs of failure. The nail polish has a wide brush that easily covers my broad base nails in two strokes and it needs two coats to go completely opaque. The formula adheres well to the nails, takes a bit of time to dry completely and stays put for a long time, fully retaining its color and shine.
Overall, I am very impressed with Rainforest from the Revlon Colorstay Range of Nail Enamels. The color is a darkened green with shimmer that shifts between green and gold. It is a color with a lot of depth and has a mystical charm about it. A must have shade if you like to own unique shades in your collection.
