I am back with another Nail Lacquer from Kiko Milano that was a part of my Italy Makeup Haul. I have already shared my thoughts about what I think of these nail polishes when I reviewed #266 Ultramarine Blue. My thoughts remain unchanged except that the #497 is not as glossy in its finish as the Ultramarine Blue one. Nonetheless, # 497 Pearly Indian Violet is a gorgeous shade, with a lot of depth. It is basically a purple nail polish, on an indigo base, that is prominent in the first coat. As you layer on the second coat, you will notice the beautiful Burgundy and Indigo shimmer, uniformly distributed in the base. I have tried taking pictures both in natural light as well as with a flash just so I could show you how gorgeous is this color.

#497, Pearly Indian Violet from KIKO, is nowhere near the spectrum of what you would term as a summer nail color, however, I really don’t believe in seasons dictating my nail colors and wear what I like on any particular day. The shade is pretty dark, almost leaning to a dark inky-purple in indoor lighting.
#497, Pearly Indian Violet from KIKO Milano is also claimed to a great dupe for Chanel Taboo. Now, I don’t have the latter but from what I see on the internet, it is so very close that it is extremely hard to distinguish which is which. Also, I must mention that I had done no research on what to buy from KIKO and yet, when I saw this Nail Lacquer, I immediately fell in love with it and had picked it on my first (of the many!) visit to a KIKO Outlet (right in the heart of Rome, at the Termini Station).
I don’t have enough words to tell you how gorgeous this nail color is and with my recent addition of a lot of Purple Sarees in my wardrobe, I can see myself wearing this Nail color very often, and maybe finish it as well, (who knows!). If you were to get just ONE Nail Polish from KIKO, this has to be it!
