We all work hard to earn so we can splurge on what we love the most, and for me , and maybe you too (since you’re here and reading my post!) it’s nothing else but makeup..
But makeup is expensive!
One chance to find a more inexpensive solution to satiate the cravings and I’ll jump on it. A few months back, a fellow blogger and a friend of mine, Aditi from Budget Belezza had mentioned in a blog post (HERE) about a brand called Incolor which makes perfect dupes for the Sleek Matte Me and I happened to spot some shades at a nearby store and gladly picked up two, #421 and #427, to review over here.
The INCOLOR Matte Me comes in an exactly same packaging as the Sleek Matte me. I have already reviewed the shade Fandango Purple HERE. Even the writings on the cuboidal packaging, the wand, the quantity , everything is same. The Sleek ones cost $7.49 plus shipping, and these are Rs 300 each at my local store.
The formula is also same, and I can safely say that since I’ve used both. These are pigmented, smooth and quite runny, so maybe application can be an issue for some. It is easy to go wrong with such a liquid formula and thus safer to use a lip brush for some extra control. One coat covers all lip pigmentation, and I always go for two out of habit. If I must mention, I also found the formula to be quite similar to Stila Stay All day Liquid lipstick, one of which I have reviewed HERE.
#421 is a deep cool red, and #421 is a lovely nude , perfect for my medium olive skin. These are wet when applied but set to a dry matte finish in about 20 seconds. Also, I didn’t feel any stress on the lips like I had experienced with the Sleek one which makes me wear it less often than I would like to!
The INCOLOR Matte Me stays on my lips all day, like seriously, all day, with food and drinks and everything in between. The only concern is it turns a little patchy towards the end of 7th or 8th hour but you’d only notice if you look too close. It is hard to take off, and you need a bi-phased makeup remover for the same.
Overall, if you aren’t really brand conscious and don’t mind buying dupes, then the INCOLOR Matte Me are a must try for some gorgeous ultra matte lips that last all day and more…. Available online and also with some Instagram sellers, maybe at your local stores as well if you are in Delhi/NCR or Mumbai etc., I am not too sure. Do check them out..
