One of the best things about my Italy trip was access to this brand called KIKO from where I shopped crazy which you might have also seen in my haul post HERE.
Today I am going to review the first nail varnish out of my KIKO Nail Lacquer collection, #266 Ultramarine Blue.
You can read about the extensive collection over HERE.
The nail color comes in a regular cuboidal nail polish bottle, which is quite big to begin with. It has a whopping 11 ml of nail polish and should last a really long time provided you store them properly.
When it comes to nail polishes, I have a fascination for darker shades and metallic dark blues always excite me the most. This particular shade #266 is a pearlescent metallic ultramarine blue. The formula is really nice and smooth, and I get opaque color without any streakiness in the first stroke itself. I add on a second coat to add richness and depth to the shine. When it comes to nail polishes, I like them to be always shiny and proper. Therefore, a top coat is always an add on to most of my nail colors. I am just happy to say that this nail polish eliminates my instinct to add extra shine because the finish itself is quite up to the mark.
If I really have to pick up a drawback, I’d say I don’t like the brush much because it’s thin and my nail bed is broad. I need to dip the brush atleast twice to cover the entire nail with color.
The polish lasts for as long as 5 days on my days which again commendable. On the 4th day onwards, there is a certain dullness to the color but no chip. It is easy to revive the shine with a top coat then.
The formula also claims to be Toluene, Camphor, DBP and Formaldehyde free.
Overall, the KIKO Makeup Milano NAIL LACQUER #266 Ultramarine Blue is an ultra gorgeous shade of blue that goes on smooth and streakfree and lasts up to 5 days and more. There are more than 100 vibrant shades to choose from and that coupled with the budgeted pricing makes it a must try from KIKO Milano.
