The only reason I regret colouring my hair is because after decades of colouring, I am now left with dry hair ends that refuse to look decent without a generous dose of conditioning and a heavy duty hair mask and oiling once a week…
But there are weekends when I can’t devote much time to caring for my hair (uh no, I’m not going to start with my busy momma woes!! ) but just saying generally, that’s hard…to always follow a regime…
and it’s on those lazy days, when I especially use a volumising shampoo and don’t have 5 extra minutes for conditioning, I save my 3 minutes by applying this serum to towel dried hair..
So, what exactly is this Reconstructing Serum Supposed to do?
Made for extremely dry and damaged hair, this hair serum is supposed to make hair look shinier and feel softer to touch.
How much does it cost?
Rs 600/ 50 ml, easily lasts 4 months and more with a twice a week usage of two pumps at one time.
How do you apply it?
Well, for my waist length hair, I take two pumps of this clear serum between my palms, rub the palms to emulsify the product (a trick I had learnt at a BedHead by TiGi event hosted by Savio John Pareira !) and apply at the lower 1/3rd of my hair and gradually take the remnants towards the upper half of the hair. Be careful to avoid hair roots unless you want super sad , limp hair or if your hair is dry starting from the roots, which is generally rare..
What it does?
The L’Oreal Professional Absolut Repair Reconstructing serum de-tangles hair in a jiffy. Like you just snap your fingers and its done. I save so much time in de-tangling my hair when I use this serum. In addition, when your hair dries (irrespective of whether you blow-dry them or let them dry naturally) you can actually feel how light and soft they feel. There is no greasiness, there is no residue at all. It is absolutely amazing!!
Well, I am so glad I got this. I had actually gone to purchase my beloved L’Oreal Paris Liss Ultime, however I was told that it has been discontinued and hence I got this serum because I was in desperate need of one and couldn’t wait until an online purchase arrived. My only regret is that the L’Oreal Paris Absolut Repair Reconstructing Serum doesn’t have heat protecting properties like the Liss Ultime and I have to probably buy some other heat protecting serum. But since I rarely blow dry my hair during summers I think I am happy just using this particular serum for softer hair that last me for a good 2 days before it’s time for the next wash.
Hope you enjoyed reading the review. Have you tried the Absolute Repair Serum? And if you have suggestions for a good heat protecting serum, do let me know in the comments below..
Ubntil next time,
