Yeah, I know, it’s supposed to be a winter dress but when the days are so beautifully warm and sunny, one can’t help but pick out something summery to wear. Though a black dress is not something I would usually wear during daytime, but then, sometimes I do drift away from the regular..
Without much ado, let me introduce you to this pretty little thing that I got from Cilory.com a few day ago. I really missed a nice black dress in my wardrobe, and the one that I had previously was a backless bodycon which I probably would never have the courage to wear again…atleast not until I shed off the extra pounds…So yea , to begin with the first thing I noticed about this dress was that it wasn’t too clingy, especially below the waist which is something I ain’t exactly comfortable with, and second, it looked nice and girly and hence more youthful and lively since I wanted something I could wear to casual evening outings and not necessarily a formal event. Anywho, so, here I am , trying to pose with the skater dress that I am not exactly in lovee with but it sorts of fits the bill so I’m almost fine. Honestly, I had started looking for a bardot dress to begin with, but …..never mind..maybe next time..
I have an apple shaped body where the part above the waist is heavier as compared to my legs, which are lean, and a little muscular as well . So this particular dress, takes away the attention from my bosom by being fluffy and loose , and the elasticated waist gives a little bit of shape. The length is just right so now the attention has shifted on the bottom half of the body and hence it giving it an illusion of a leaner frame. The dress has some sort of silvery embellishment on the shoulders and I didn’t want to add too much to the clutter , so chose a simple pendant and earrings and a watch to accessorize. I added a golden box clutch as well and simple black peep toes.
Makeup-wise, it’s only a simple but crispy cat eyeliner and some bright pink lipstick which looks washed out since the sun was too strong at the time when we took the pictures. Btw, I managed to create some volume on my crown with the BBlunt Full On Volume Shampoo, and some glorious shine with L’Oreal Liss Ultime . I really liked the way my hair turned on this particular day and maybe that’s one combination I’m going to use frequently in the days to come.
Hope you enjoy the pictures!!
Much love and a happy Sunday evening all!
