The biggest reason why I sometimes hate my poker straight hair is because most of the times they sit so limp and flat on my head that it becomes almost impossible to step out of the house without either a hairwash or using some kind of volumising products on the hair. And during my search for a good Volumising Shampoo, I chanced upon this raved product from my preferred skincare brand , so obviously, I had to give it a try.
The Body Shop RAINFOREST VOLUME Shampoo comes in a dark forest green colored cylindrical bottle with a sturdy and fit flip top cap. It is not one of those flimsy flip tops that open with the slightest push, but a very comfortably firm kind of flip which I is safe to travel around with.
The consistency of this shampoo is light, almost runny and it also lathers up moderately. The shampoo has a fresh scent that fades away soon after the shower. It is a great everyday shampoo, except, when you have to probably wash off oil from your hair because this shampoo is a bit too mild to do heavy jobs like taking away olive or castor oils from hair.
The Body Shop RAINFOREST VOLUME Shampoo is really a boon for fine and life less hair. Even if you don’t use a hair dryer, the volume and bounce is pretty much visible. The shampoo also doesn’t contain any sulfates (hence the less foaming part!), parabens or colorants. The eco conscious formula has been especially developed to take care of needs of limp hair.
With this shampoo, using a conditioner is what I would personally advise or else your hair might feel dry and appear rough. And obviously it would be better if the conditioner is also from the same range because these are specifically developed to cater to the needs of fine hair. Otherwise, using any other conditioner that you prefer would just be alright. Just be sure not to use any heavy duty conditioner that may weigh down hair and negate the effects of this shampoo.
Overall, The Body Shop RAINFOREST VOLUME Shampoo is a great product to try because the Volumising effects are substantially noticeable. Using a conditioner is must because otherwise hair feels dry. I might repurchase the shampoo since I’m nearing the end of the one that I already have.
