Some beauty products leave such a lasting impression on your mind that no matter what stage of life you are at, they would still hold a special place in your heart. Many (a very many that is!) years ago when I first started using Hair Conditioners, I had my first tryst with the Revlon FLEX range of conditioners. And since I have straight and limp hair that fall flat on my face, my first requirement is mostly a volumising conditioner and that is how the REVLON FLEX Body Building Protein Conditioner became an inseparable part of my life.
The REVLON FLEX Body Building Protein Conditioner comes in a large cylindrical bottle with a flip top cap. The packaging has remained the same for years, though the product surely has gone through many reformulations (or so I believe!). I have this hunch that this may be one of those products that are so popular with customers that brands refuse to change the packaging for decades after decades (are you thinking of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter? Well, I surely am ;)).
The REVLON FLEX Body Building Protein Conditioner is very unlike the host of other Hair Conditioners available in the market. The consistency of this conditioner is soft and spongy (I can’t exactly put a name to this kind of liquid!). It’s a little fluffy and not exactly creamy like most conditioners, and definitely not loaded with silicones. The emollient over here is Panthenol which gives a soft sheen to hair without that feeling that you’ve coated your hair with something.
The result is soft bouncy hair with a definite boost in volume and a healthy shine. I have only good things to say about this hair conditioner except that it’s not always available everywhere and those are the times I end up buying something else or maybe as a blogger get tempted to try a new product in the market. But given a choice, I would probably stick to this one for the rest of my life.
Overall, The REVLON FLEX Body Building Protein Conditioner is the best my hair can get from a conditioner. It is a very underplayed product and you won’t see it widely available on shelves across supermarkets, BUT if you have limp hair that needs volume and shine without the extra dose of silicones, you must try this amazing product from the house of Revlon. I have been using this for many decades now and have repurchased countless time so you know what this means to me. For flat and dead hair that need a life, it can’t get any better than this!
