Hi Everyone,
Diwali, the festival of lights, is just a few days away and I thought I would wish you all a few days earlier since it is going to be super busy for the next few days. So yea, Wish you all a Happy and Prosperous Deepawali!! May the festival of lights bring joy, laughter and happiness to keep you smiling all year long!!

Among the host of jobs that need to be completed, it becomes a little hard at times to go for an elaborate makeup look on the D-day. In this post today, I am marking out some star makeup products that can swiftly take away tiredness and fatigue from your face, add lots of glamour and make you look great without putting in a lot of extra effort.

Make your skin look great in photos:
When you don’t have a lot of time at hand to go the whole primer-concealer-foundation routine, it makes sense to go in for a Photo-Ready Foundation. Photo friendly foundations have Photo chromatic pigments that reflect light ,thereby diffusing and blurring out minor imperfections especially when are going to capture your precious moments via a camera.
My favorite in the category is the Make Up For Ever HD Foundation (Reviewed HERE). Other options available are the Revlon PhotoReady Foundation, NYX HD Foundation etc.

Fake that glow:

Okay, no matter how healthy we eat of how dedicated we are towards out skincare routine, there may be days when the glow that you so desire might be missing from your face. But don’t worry, makeup has a solution to your problem. Go for a beige/golden highlighter, according to your skintone, and preferably a liquid or cream one since they blend in more easily to give a natural finish.
Check out Deborah Milano Illuminating Pen (reviewed HERE), or Colorbar Illuminating Pen, The Faces MetalliGlow liquid highlighter or Benefit’s Girl Meets Pearl, Moonbeam, Sunbeam, Highbeam, Watts Up etc.

Sparkly Colored liners and sharp lines:

Colored eyeliners are a huge trend this season, and with brands coming up with some exciting new products in the Indian Market, your job of finding a right color is made all the more easier. Instead of the usual black kohl, try something different, like a violet, a cobalt blue, teal, seafoam green or any other color that you like!! A colored liner needs minimal effort and yet adds a lot of jazz.
Also, instead of fading or blending out the colors on your eyes, keep the liner lines very sharp and crisp for extra definition in pictures.
Products you may try: Maybelline Hyperglossy Electrics Liners (Reviewed HERE & HERE), Colorbar Just Smoky Kajals (reviewed HERE), or even the colorful Lakme Gel Addict liners.

Pucker Up baby!!

Shun the mattes, and pick up a tube of glossy happiness!! Mattes (unless it’s a RED!!) can look quite boring when taking pictures (yes!Talk about personal experience!!). So this festive season keep them away and go for all kinds of bright popping lip colors like a vibrant pink or a hot coral. Also you may convert your favorite lipstick into a glossy color just by adding a clear gloss on top of it!!
You may try the Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains (reviewed HERE), or check out the fabulous shades in the newly launched Faces Ultime Pro Lip Creme Range (HERE)

Lift Thy Brow!

Last but not the least, and a very ignored aspect of most Indian girls’ makeup routine, EYEBROWS. In my humble opinion, eyebrows can either lift up a look or kill it completely depending on how much attention they have been paid to. Invest in a good eyebrow pencil/powder and take a few minutes extra to fill, shape and define your brows and see the difference in the way you look. You can thank me later for the tip :)
The Face Shop Lovely Me:Ex Eyebrow pencil is my favorite and you may read the complete review HERE

Have a beautiful and safe Diwali everyone!! :)
