M.A.C. Patentpolish Lip Pencil (Rs 1300 / 2.3 g), now available across M.A.C. stores across the country.
Product Description:
The color and shine of a gloss, the precision of a lip pencil – all in one color stick. A unique blend of creamy emollients replenishes moisture, keeping lips soft with an ultra-smooth texture that isn’t heavy or sticky. the pencil’s effortless twist-up keeps application clean and simple, with no need to sharpen.

M.A.C.’s  Patentpolish Lip Pencil comes in an easy to travel with and simple to use twist up crayon. The crayon tube is black and so is the cap, however there is a color indicator at the end which makes a shade simple to locate in case you have more than one of these. It fits snuggly in your purse, and is quite travel friendly.
The shade Berry Bold is describes as an Orange -Red on the MAC cosmetics website which is exactly how I would describe it too. A bright and fun color for summers that will work beautifully across many skin tones.
The texture of this lip pencil can be best described as balmy and the finish is very glossy. A couple of swipes on the lips can leave your lips gleaming with color and shine . The pigmentation is buildable. One swipe will give you a sheer wash of color , but as you layer it, the color intensity deepens substantially. The product is extremely nourishing , especially noticeable on days I struggle with dry lips.
The Patentpolish Lip Pencil stayed on my lips without feathering and some amount of transfer for a good 2-3 hours, and fades without any tint. It never felt sticky or waxy on the lips and gave a very comfortable wear.
The one thing that I don’t like much is the rounded top of the crayon. I wish the tip was pointed for a more precise application.

Overall, the M.A.C. Patentpolish Lip Pencil In Berry Bold is a great Orange Red shade with buildable color intensity that I believe will work beautifully across a wide range of skin tones. For girls, who struggle with dry lips, this can be a great product since it heals while it colors. At the price you pay for it, I would have preferred if the product either stayed longer or left a stain behind. Also, a sharper tip instead of the rounded top would have made the product more user friendly. There are around 10 or so shades to choose from in this line , most of which fall under the “safe” color family, the regular everyday wear kinds. Finally, I am glad that I tried this Lip Crayon from MAC because it is one of the best in terms of the Lip conditioning Part and it worked very well to keep my lips soft and nourished in certain dry climatic conditions Buy it if you are into balm-y lip crayons, but if you’re looking for something to stay longer and still provide hydration, I’m sure you can find better options at that price point!!
