L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Color (Rs 499/6ml) #702 Juliette is a a gorgeous warm Red-ish Orange lip color that can look great across various skin tones. The color is in the form of a lightweight liquid gloss, that sets upon application, to a glossy finish that stays for up to 3.5 hrs and more.
The Lip Color comes in a shiny golden tapered end tube, and there is a shade indicator at the middle. The packaging is fabulous, and that was indeed the first thing that attracted me to buy this product. The applicator is a slanted and tapered end one,and that makes it easier to reach the inner corners of the lips.
The formula is extremely lightweight, almost watery, and you will need at least two to three coats of color to cover out lip imperfections or pigmentation. It does feel very comfortable to wear, but on the flip side, you have to be extremely cautious while applying color on the outer edges of lips and it tends to pool because of the thin runny texture.
The most remarkable part about this lip color is that I find it settling down on to my lips when I apply the first coat of color, but after 2 or three coats, I really don’t feel I’m wearing anything on my lips, and when I look in the mirror, all I can see is gorgeous shiny lips.Oh btw, the color also deepens down a few minutes post application, so just when you’re thinking it’s not that deep, it suddenly is In my mind, I have this thing about glosses that any lip color that’s shiny or glossy will have some sort of stickiness to it but the Shine Caresse Lip Color completely swept me off my feet with its formula. It’s absolutely non-sticky!
Even after 3-3.5 hrs of wear, the shine is very much there, and at no point in time have my lips felt dry after wearing this lip color. It fades evenly and leaves behind a light Orange-ish tint, but just in case you’ve had a meal, you would need a touch up afterwards. It does not bleed or settle into lip lines .
Overall, the L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Color in Juliette is a gorgeous Red-Orange Lip color with an absolutely fabulous shine and great staying ability. My only concern is that the product tends to pool on the lip edges while application, so just take little by little and build up the color without applying a lot at one go. At this price point, I’m mighty impressed with the formula’s feel on the lips and longevity, alongwith the fact that it’s glossy and yet NON-STICKY.
