Today I’m going to review a great product from Deborah Milano, the 2 in 1 Long Lasting eyeshadow with PRIMER in the shade #2.
The Deborah Milano 2 in 1 Long Lasting Eyeshadow with PRIMER (INR 450) in shade #2 is a gorgeous Taupe-y Brown Shade with frosted finish. Its the kind of color you can wear everywhere in various combinations and yet can never go wrong with it. The Eyeshadow claims to have primer in it so you don’t necessarily need to prime your eye lids prior to application. It has a soft cushion like texture like a blend of mousse and cream. It has become all the more softer in consistency in the hot weather here. It blends easily on the eyelids without being patchy. Unlike many other cream eyeshadows that I’ve tried earlier, (Read MAC Paintpots, Shiseido Cream Color for eyes or the Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadows), this one takes a bit of time to dry, so you get sufficient time to blend it before it sets on the lids. But even though it takes a while to dry, it doesn’t crease on me at any stage before or after application. I have worn these for hours at a stretch and I typically got 7 hours of wear with this 2 in 1 eyeshadow with PRIMER. (The staying power actually is inconsistent with different shades! ) There was no creasing or fading even without primer but in extreme conditions like the summers we have over here, there is minor fading after the 7 hr duration mentioned. It can be used either on its own or under a similar color eyeshadow for a more defined color on the lids.
The only con that I can think of is that the pigmentation is something that could have been better
. I had to layer the product a couple of times to get the exact shade as in the pot
. The packaging is simple transparent plastic pot with a screw on lid
with the color of the product showing through from the pot and the color indicator on the lid, so either you store it upside down or straight, you can always easily locate it in your makeup stash. Its simple, easy to use and very travel friendly.
The complete ingredients list is mentioned on the bottom peel up label of the pot, and the shelf life is 12 months (too less IMO!)
Here’s a simple FOTD that I did using the Deborah Milano 2 in 1 long Lasting Eyeshadow with PRIMER #2 on my lids, I have Inglot Matte 338 (A matte Turquoise Blue) in the crease and a tiny bit on the lower lashline. Hope you like the look!
And here are the products I used for the look:
- Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel
- Lotus Herbals Safe Sun SPF 100 PA+++ Sunblock
- MAC Studio Fix Powder plus Foundation
- Inglot Face Blush Refill #30
- Deborah Milano 2 in 1 Long Lasting Eyeshadow with PRIMER #2 on lids
- Inglot Matte 338 on crease
- Faces Long Wear Eye Pencil Solid Black
- L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara
- Deborah Milano ROSSETTO Shine Creator SPF 15 lipstick in shade #12
Overall, a great product for everyday use and I surely love these. It is creamy and definitely Long Lasting and acts as an excellent base for other similar colored eyeshadows. It does not crinkle the thin eyelid skin like many other cream shadows, and so gives a more supple and young feel. Do check out if you’re looking for affordable cream eyeshadows for everyday wear!
Till next time..See ya..
P.S. Possible Dupe : Maybelline Color Tattoo Bad to the Bronze, this one is a touch more Taupe and far more sheer as compared to the Color Tattoo
P.P.S: This or that? Depends on your usage, this one acts as a better base to similar colored eyeshadows while Bad to the Bronze does not provide a good base for powder eyeshadows. If you want to wear on its own, then Bad to the Bronze is better in terms of the pigmentation and quick drying ability.
