Its a matte finish lipstick and unlike those dry mattes (think MAC Ruby Woo,Colorbar Velvet Mattes, Chambor Powder Mattes, Lakme 9 to 5 etc etc), this definitely does not dry lips at all, I can wear it without a lip balm under and it doesn’t make my lips dry or flaky.
It is soft and smooth to apply and I feel post application only, it just hugs the lips in the right way to give that matte finish which I love of RED lipsticks. Glossy reds kind of look a little weird on me since Red is such a strong color, additional shine can totally ruin the look. It does not feather or bleed, yet its a good idea to use a lip liner for those clean edges. Also you can apply the lipstick with a brush for the same effect, but I generally prefer a lip liner with this. BTW, I have found a perfectly matching lip liner with this, let me know in the comments if you want to know which one is that.It also has the signature vanilla scent which is common of all MAC lipsticks. The scent fades away after a couple of minutes post application.
This lipstick is highly pigmented, one swipe of color and you get completely opaque color on lips that can hide any kind of Lip imperfections. It lasts all day long with light snacks, and you may need a touch up after a meal. Anyway, its always a wise idea to do a touch up after a meal , and you know why! 😉
In the picture below , on my eyes I have used Urban Decay Primer Potion Original, MAC’s paintpot in Indianwood (reviewed HERE) and Inglot Face and Body Sparkle #64 ,Applied using Duraline and Maybelline’s Lasting Drama Gel Liner, Inglot eyeshadows matte Black and Brown on outer corner and lower lashline and Oriflame Very Me Fat Lash Mascara.
|Ah! I wish the sparkles showed up well in the pictures, they looked so gorgeous!!|
Have a great evening everyone!!!
