MAC Paint Pot in Indianwood- Review/ Swatches

Hi Girls,

I know I’ve been away for long and that’s only because I’m busy with a major upcoming event in the family which most of you already know about. It is my younger sister’s wedding and I’ve been crazy shopping for the past few months or so , all for those 3-4 days of fun and madness….

My major budget has been allocated to my all time obsession- MAKEUP and this paint pot that I’m going to talk about today was a part of one such shopping outing and I’m so happy to have finally bought my first paintpot. Yipeee…..Now quickly coming over to the review.

How M.A.C. describes the Paint Pot:

A highly pigmented eye colour that goes on creamy but dries to an intense, vibrant finish. Long-wearing, colourfast. Creates seamless coverage without weight or caking. Blends smoothly over the lids. Cream-based, can be mixed with M.A.C. shadows or liners.

Description of shade Indianwood from the M.A.C. website:  Metallic Antique Bronze (Frost)

Price:  INR 1400 for 5g (I got it at the old price of INR 1100 😀 )

My views on the product:

If I were to put it in one word : Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious !!!!!!  😀

Oh dear! am so in love with this paint pot, the perfect Bronze-Golden cream eyeshadow that is so versatile that you might just not want to live without it.

It is for those who wear eyeshadows occasionally, and also for those like me who always want to wear eyeshadows. It goes with traditional Indian outfits, and also with casual wear, depending upon how you wear it.

Paint Pots are actually cream eyeshadows which set to a dry finish as claimed by M.A.C. and are really long lasting, I mean even if I wear it without any primer, this stays on like forever, 10 hrs to say the least, and that too without any fading or creasing.

I love the fact that it gives a metallic shine , which is because the shimmer quality is very fine, and not at all gritty. They blend very easily but need to be blended fast lest they set, much like the Urban Decay’s Primer Potion (Sin), maybe a tad slower, but more or less the same.

This particular Paint Pot provides an excellent base for all my traditional Gold, Coppery, Bronze and all other shadows from the same color family . This gives that lift to the shades that is otherwise impossible to get when using only a primer. Even when worn on its own, this just looks nothing short of gorgeous.

The M.A.C. MUA suggested that the best and most flawless application can be achieved with a brush but I really don’t agree. I’ve used my fingers also to apply it and it comes on just as beautiful. The only problem is that fingers can’t be used for precision application like when you want color only on the inner corner or lower lash line . Otherwise fingers work as good as a brush.

Swatch:

The swatch of the Paint Pot, topped with the MAC Eyeshadow in Expensive Pink, isn’t this just Beautiful !

If I were to rate this product: 10 on 10 , anything less than that is not justified!!

Great value for money and one paint pot will last you like forever, so go ahead and splurge, you won’t regret it a bit :)

P.S. I know I should have done an EOTD here…..sorry…will do one very soon …pakka promise!!!
