L’Oreal Paris True Match Minerals Review

Hello all ya lovelies….

I’m just writing this review because I’ve found something so good that I couldn’t stop myself from sharing it with you…for long I wanted a lightweight foundation that I could wear during the day and not be demotivated from wearing a foundation just because of the constant touchups that it requires.
Lakme’s daily wear soufflé is a good product in this category, however its lasting power isn’t that great. I’ve tried the Maybelline wonder finish makeup too, but that’s too cakey…L’oreal’s true match liquid foundation is great for evening wear but during daytime, and when I need to go out in the sun, it doesn’t soak up the oil secretions in the T-zone. I tried everything from wet makeup sponges to using a foundation brush to make the application light, but nothing worked….   :(
And then I found the True Match Minerals .. 😀

The brush

Upon checking L’Oreal Paris’s website, I noticed that they have 9 shades in the international market out of which only 4 are available in India…how mean is that?? :X

What the company claims:
95% from minerals. No perfume. No preservatives. Tested under dermatological control.
It reduces the appearance of imperfections for a flawless coverage that’s gentle on skin.
True Match Minerals protects your skin whilst letting it breath:
True Match provides SPF 15 to help protect your skin against the premature ageing effects of the sun.
– Tested under dermatological control, suitable for all skin types
– No perfume, No preservatives.

The formula is fragrance-free and oil-free. It is also non-comedogenic, meaning that it won’t clog your pores.

Price :  INR 1095 for 10 g

The shade I got is W5 Golden Sand. Luckily for me, this turned out to be the perfect match for my skin color.
The packaging is a cute and stout jar, the bottommost part of which has the product, and has holes on top through which the product can be taken out and a screw on Kabuki brush which is the applicator and a lid on top. I loved the idea of having holes on the top of the jar through which the amount of product that comes out can be controlled. I’ve found the brush to be a little rough on my face and I don’t think I’d be using it much. Otherwise, the product is really nice, the coverage is light but buildable to a medium (though I must admit I’d never have that kind of time, if I want more coverage, I might use a heavier foundation, atleast  it’ll save on time 😉 )
What I love about the product:

1.      The Matte effect…I have super oily T zone and an oily facial skin so it is the Matte finish that I always long for.
2.      You need very little amount of product for a full face application. I think the 10 gms can last atleast 3 to 4 years
3.      Love the packaging..very very cute J
4.      No parabens, non comedogenic

What I don’t really like about the product:

1.      A bit overpriced ..but c’mon, you don’t buy a foundation every month.
2.      The brush could’ve been softer..

My rating : 3.5 /  5
Would I buy again: Maybe, if there isn’t a better product in the market by the time I finish this one J
